User Accounts & Self-Registration

Creating accounts, self-registration with email verification, password policies, and language preferences

Self-Registration

New users can create accounts independently via the Registration screen. The registration process sends a verification email to the provided address. Until the email is verified, the account is marked as "unverified" and cannot log in.

Email Verification

Verification emails contain a time-limited link. The verification timeout is configured in Admin → Setup → Limits (default: hours). After the timeout, the link expires. Unverified accounts are soft-deleted after an additional grace period.

Password Policy

Password strength is enforced according to the site policy set in Admin → Setup → Options. Three levels are available: low (minimum length), medium (mixed case and digits), and high (special characters required, minimum length, no common passwords).

Profile & Language

Users select their preferred language during registration or in their Profile settings. The login and registration screens have a globe icon for temporary language selection. Once logged in, the selected language is used throughout the Workbench. Per-user settings also control audio input/output language and other preferences.

All editions include multi-user support. Self-registration, role-based access control, and user groups are available in every edition — Workbench, Workbench-BE, Workbench Win, and Workbench Mac.
